Japanese carmaker Honda is all set to relaunch its flagship sedan City in mid-December instead of January. The company has said that the new City would have high localisation. The officiaks stated that City launch would be advanced to utilise plant capacity.

Earlier this month, Honda Siel Cars India said its production will be severely affected till the end of this year due to supply constraints from Thailand, which is fighting with a devastating flood.

The company will cut production at its Greater Noida plant due to parts supply shortage, caused by the floods in Thailand, Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) said in a statement. The parts shortage will affect all the models produced in India, but the impact will be much more on the compact cars Brio, Jazz and the flagship sedan City because of their larger volumes, the company said.

Honda reported 4.76 per cent jump in its sales for October at 5,526 units.
