Hero MotoCorp launches first 'Hero' branded bike 'Impulse' priced at Rs 66,800

The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Monday said it will soon start selling the first 'Hero' branded bike to be launched after the break-up of Hero Honda last year -- Impulse -- in the Indian market at Rs 66,800 (ex-Delhi showroom).

"The Impulse is the first bike from us which will be sold only under the Hero brand. We have already started dispatches and it will soon be available at showrooms in metros and Tier-I cities," Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua told PTI.

To promote the Impulse, the firm, which is one of the sponsors of the ongoing India-England cricket series, is giving away the bike to a player who excels with both bat and ball in a match. "The idea is to bring out the dual purpose of the bike," he said, adding that the company would also conduct test rides in different cities.

This is Hero MotorCorp's first product in the Indian market after their breakup with its Long back partner Honda. Honda too has great plans for the Indian market. Hero MotorCorp says there are many more products to be launched in the Indian market and will be unveiled very soon.

Meanwhile, KTM duke is also in its way for the Indian market. All these will create a huge buzz in the Indian motorbike market.
