Suzuki Motor arms' workers to boycott meal as protest

Workers of Suzuki Motor Co's Indian subsidiary firms are likely to boycott meals provided by their respective companies in support of their colleagues at Maruti Suzuki 's Manesar plant.

According to worker sources, employees of Maruti Suzuki's Gurgaon plant, Suzuki Motorcycle India, Suzuki Powertrain and Suzuki Castings have decided to lend their support to MSI's employees at Manesar.
"Workers of all Suzuki plants in India will not accept any food provided by the companies during their duty hours," a source said.

Production at MSI's Manesar plant has been affected since August 9 after management prevented workers from entering the facility without signing a 'good conduct bond'.

"Workers at other Suzuki plant will decide about their future course of action in a meeting on September 11," the source said.
