Renault has been spotted testing their mini MPV named Modus in India earlier this week. The images here were clicked by Team BHP member while he was near the Renault – Nissan manufacturing facility in Chennai.
Renault seems to be preparing for yet another launch this time, a hatchback to rival cars like the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and the Ford Figo.

Modes that enter the hatchback category has the dimensions of length 3873 mm, width 1695 mm, height 1586 mm and 2482 mm wheelbase. Renault also has a car named Renault Modus Grande which is not the part of Renault India strategy but has more body length reaches 4034 mm.

Renault is expected to offer the Modus with a diesel option along with the conventional petrol engine. In the Euro-Spec Renault Modus the French automaker offers a 1.2 litre 16-valve petrol engine with 75 bhp on tap and a diesel motor that puts out 88 bhp. Both these engines are expected to be carried over on the Indian version. What could set the car apart from the competition is the height of the car. The Renault Modus has a high roof-line and a big boot. The rear seats can be folded to expand the volume like most other cars in this segment.

The detailed review and features will be posted shortly.
