Nissan Sunny to be launched on 20 September - to be priced between Etios and Verna




Nissan Sunny has finally decided on the launch date of its new Sedan offering for the Indian market. The car is scheduled for a launch on 20 September. The car would be fitted with  a newly developed petrol engine (HR15DE) which would give an ARAI approved mileage of 16.95 Kmpl.

Nissan has tweaked the car to suit the requirements of the Indian market. Nissan has added features like Rear comfort fan(two vents that circulate fresh air in the rear cabin), and a manual transmission which is India specific. The carmaker has also tweaked the Suspension to suit the requirements seeing the Indian roads.

Nissan also said that the Carmaker is also ready with the Diesel engine but would not launch the same immediately and refused to divulge further details on the issue however an early 2012 launch during Auto Expo is most likely for the same.

Nissan said that as per the market requirements the Ratio of Diesel : Petrol has changed suddenly and Nissan will now produce it in the ratio of 80 : 20 to meet the demands of the consumers on time.

Nissan has roped in Ranbir Kapoor for the advertisement of the car who will promote and communicate the car to the Indian market. Ranbir Kapoor is the Brand Ambassador for Nissan India.
