Nissan India targets three fold jump in India Sales




Nissan India targets over three fold sales jump in the year 2011. The Japanese car maker has sold 13,000 cars in India in year 2010. The company plans to sell 40,000 cars this year, said Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, Nissan India Managing Director.

Nissan India said this will be made possible now. The company said it expect the Sales Volume to come from its recently launched Nissan Sunny. The company also said that they have plans to double the capacity at Oragadam plant at  Chennai. The company plans to invest 4,500 crores of rupees in Chennai facility by 2015.

Meanwhile, Nissan India is also planning to launch a MUV which would compete to the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova. Click here for details.
