
Mohammed Ayazuddin, former Indian cricket captain and MP Mohammed Azharuddin's son, who was critically injured in a road accident five days ago, died at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad today (September 16). His last rites will be performed this evening, and the body will be taken to Mecca Masjid for prayers.
Ayazudding (19) was riding a Suzuki GSX-R1000 sports bike, with his cousin Ajmal (16) on pillion, on the outer ring road of the city (where riding two-wheelers is banned) at a very high speed when he lost control and crashed near the tollgate at Poppalguda.
Ajmal, who was the son of Azharuddin’s sister, died while undergoing treatment. Ayazuddin responded to treatment initially and was later operated on to stop the bleeding in his chest. His kidneys were also damaged.

On Monday (September 12), doctors at Apollo hospital reportedly removed one of Ayazuddin's kidneys. And neurological tests, conducted on September 15, showed severe brain damage.
Ayazuddin was Azharuddin's son with his first wife Naureen. The former cricketer in now married to Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani.
Among the first in Bollywood to react to the news of Ayazuddin's death was Riteish Deshmukh, who posted on his Twitter page, "Deeply saddened to hear about the demise Mohd. Azharuddin's son - Condolences to the entire family-RIP AYAZUDDIN"
Rahul Bose added, "Very very sad to hear the passing away of azhar's son. No parent should ever have to face
