Though it’s been in the rumor mill for quite sometime now, Maserati has finally unveiled the Kubang, a concept SUV that may be a pre-cursor to what the Italian manufacturer’s first Sport Utility will look like. The Kubang has been launched a few days ago during the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011 and was designed by Lorenzo Ramaciotti and is developed in collaboration with the Jeep from which it takes the platform of the new Grand Cherokee.
The car mount probably already known naturally aspirated V8 engine derived from Ferrari and will be paired with a 3.0 liter V6 version by a turbodiesel engine that was used on the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Lancia Thema.
