Formula 1 Fever in India : Ferrari's race car on display in Delhi




As the Airtel Indian Grand Prix is nearing, the promotions & campaigns by Airtel, Mercedes and Jaypee group in the form of banners, hoardings, tv advertisements has commonly being found across India. But, not a real F1 Car. On Saturday, Ferrari displayed their F1 car behind Select City walk all, Saket in Delhi.

The First Ferrari F1 car gave onlookers a close view of the incredible machine and let everybody feel what the Formula 1 racing is all about. This is a promotional campaign which will instinct the passion of Formula 1 event among Indian population as this being the first event, the need to touch the hearts of Indians was a must, which none other than Ferrari realized and made it possible.  "I have bought tickets for the race weekend but I don't think I will ever be able to see an F1 car from such proximity. It's like a dream come true for me," said Archan Ghose, an F1 enthusiast.

Earlier, Red Bull’s racing car has been touring across Noida for a while now and was previously been displayed at a private hospital. The car was then taken to the Amity University campus, where students touched and felt the car. "It's not every day that you can stand next to a machine like this. It's a truly an awe-inspiring car and I can't believe that I actually managed to touch it," said Sarita Bagga, a student of the university.

 Ian Albiston, F1 project manager for Ferrari and Shell said, "Things will change after the grand prix. F1 is an expensive sport for which infrastructure is essential. But I am convinced it will come. The grand prix in Noida is just the tipping point."
