It has recently been reported that Ashok Leyland, flagship company of Hinduja Group is planning to launch a passenger car version of Dost LCV.
Mr. V Sumantran, Executive Vice Chairman of Hinduja Automotive Ltd and Nissan Ashok Leyland Powertrain said that they were together contemplating launch of a 8 seater MUV version of Dost. The company is at present working on the design and would be set to launch the MUV variant of the Dost LCV.
At present, Dost is a recently launched 1.25 Tonne carrier which is presently available in three variants. Speaking to Press at the Dost launch Sumantran said that the company was also keen on increasing their dealer base in India for sales and marketing of Dost.
However, this segment of the market is heating up with the launches of Mini Xylo, Force Motors Viano based MUV, Maruti’s Ertiga. Earlier today, Nissan also reported that it is also planning to launch NV200 MUV in India. For details, click here.
