Ford India July sales rise 11 pc

Carmaker Ford India today reported a 10.76 per cent jump in its sales for July 2011, at 10,706 units. 

The company had sold 9,666 units in the same month last year, Ford India said in a statement. 

Ford had recently announced to invest Rs 4,000 crore to set up its second manufacturing facility in Gujarat. 

The company is at present working with its suppliers to remove capacity constraints and meet the increasing demand for Ford vehicles. 

"We appreciate our customers' patience as we work with our suppliers to remove capacity constraints, and ensure we can meet the ever increasing demand for Ford products," Ford India President and Managing Director Michael Boneham said.
