Nissan looking at overseas production of Infinity brand of cars

Nissan's successful Infinity brand of luxury cars might be manufactured outside of Japan soon. It has been reported that Japanese automobile major Nissan is planning to take the production of Infiniti cars outside of Japan and the CEO Carlos Ghosn might make a joint announcement with President of Dongfeng Motor Xu Ping regarding a new business plan of Infinity manufacturing in China.

It was reported that Ghosn has been quoted earlier as saying Nissan would work hard to begin production of Infiniti vehicles overseas. He had mentioned that China and North America would be the two choice locations for the brand. And now China might be the location for the manufacturing.
According to reports, Nissan hopes that its market share in China will hit 10 percent within the next six years. The Infiniti brand will play an important role in helping the Japanese manufacturer fulfil that aim and Infiniti expects to expand its dealer network by 20 by the end of the year in Chinese automobile market.
