Improved Toyota Innova showcased at Indonesia Motor Show - To be Launched during 2012 Auto Expo in India

Toyota has recently unveiled their new improved Innova at the 2011 Indonesia International Motor Show.  This is expected to be launched in India sometime in 2012. The Innova MVP has been on test on Indonesian roads for some days now and this is what was noticed.

Toyota Innova will have a similar 2.5 liter D-4D diesel engine and 2 liter VVT petrol engine.  The main alterations will be seen in the exteriors of the vehicle which will see major modifications.  Brand new headlights altered front bumpers and new tail lamp cluster comprising of 3 sections instead of the current 2, besides a fashionable front grille with chrome fittings are among some of the striking new features.

Toyota Kirloskar India has kept some features similar to the existing model as their clients in India show more affinity to chrome.  Dashboard layout has not been altered though the center console looks as if it is modified a bit.   Heavy duty fabric on seats is an added attraction. Toyota Kirloskar India has revealed that the facelifted Innova which is displayed at Indonesia Motor Show will also be laucnhed in India and will be showcased at Auto Expo 2012, this being the best platform for the launch of the car.

This segment of the car has seen some major changes in the market with Mahindra launching XUV5OO in the market and Force Motors also with its yet to be launched T0 project, which is Viano based MPV . Also Renault, GM and Maruti has plans of launching cars in this segment.
